Abstract

PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Line is a service company engaged in the field of expedition, whose main activity is handling container rental services at the depot of PT. SPIL. The purpose of this paper is to identify and explain the procedure for repairing containers at the depot of PT. SPIL as well as classification and identification of damage to the container. This writing uses qualitative writing methods in the form of data collection techniques such as reference materials, observations, interviews, documentation and triangulation. From the results of research conducted by the author, the procedure for repairing containers at the depot of PT. SPIL has complied with the standards set by the IICL (Institute of International Container Lessors), which are international standards used for container repair. Container repair activities have a classification and identification of the damage, such as damage that occurs to the floor of the container if the damage only requires 1-2 pieces of plywood for repair, then it is classified as minor damage because the time required is not more than 10 hours, and the costs and components required are small
